Richard Malone Wins 2020 International Woolmark Prize

Irish designer Richard Malone wins this year’s International Woolmark Prize and CO, who worked with the finalists on their sustainability roadmaps as part of the competition, couldn’t be happier.

Richard Malone is this year’s winner of the International Woolmark Prize held as part of London Fashion Week. Known for his sustainable approach to design, Malone created a collection inspired by his upbringing in Wexford, Ireland.

The Irish designer worked with skilled weavers in Tamil Nadu, India and used Merino wool and other conscious fibres and completely organic and plant-based dyes.

This was the first year where sustainability was an integral part of the competition with all finalists …
